Laser engraving is the practice of using lasers to engrave or mark an object (it is also sometimes mistakenly called etching, which involves the use chemicals). Laser engraving uses a computer system to drive the movements of the laser head. Laser engraving creates very precise and clean engravings as it does not involve tool bits which contact the engraving surface, can leave burrs, and wear out.
